What the…

Why am I asking you guys to eat a frog??

Yeah I thought exactly that when I first heard the saying too.

Mark Twain once said that if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long.

To “eat the frog” is a way of saying, do your most hated task first, and then the rest will fall into place and the rest of your day will be super easy.

Kale is my frog. It’s my most intolerable tasting veggie, and judging by the amount of people that exclude kale every week, it’s most of our customers frogs too. (Don’t worry – we have stopped including it in our boxes …. but after reading this email, you may like to add it on and give it a go!)

This week, we thought we’d include some ways to “eat the frog” . It’ll give you the boost you need to get through the day with energy and momentum for healthy living!

Why eat it at all?

Kale juice specifically is considered to be one of the most nutritious juices in the world with an extremely powerful antioxidant, and anti inflammatory properties. Great for boosting your immune system.

One study found that daily consumption of kale juice for 12 weeks increased HDL (the “good”) cholesterol by 27% and lowered LDL levels by 10%, while also improving antioxidant status.

Per calorie, kale contains more iron than beef, more calcium than milk (also better absorbed), and more vitamin C than an orange, also very rich in Vitamin A and K.
