“NOMINATE A FAMILY IN NEED" PROGRAM

Every week The Organic Butler donates organic boxes to Melbourne families in need.

We accept nominations from anyone who can tell us the story of someone they know/of who is truly in need and resides within our delivery zone.

Our friends at Core Organics and The Lost Acre Farm will also occassionaly add pantry staples and eggs to these orders.

We need your help to keep this program going.

Know someone who deserves to be nominated?
You can tell us their story by filling out the form on this page.

WHY THE “NOMINATE A FAMILY IN NEED” PROGRAM?

In 2001, Beckii had her first child Vanessa, at just 19 yo. Raised by a single mother herself, she knew only too well the
struggle of raising a daughter on a single parent’s pension and working night shifts just to make ends meet.

There were many times when her child was young that she had to seek and accept charity donations from community organisations. As much as she appreciated the help, the acceptance of cheap canned food kept her in a cycle of believing that was all she deserved.

Beckii feels so blessed to now be in a position of providing access to some of the best food available in Australia, and wants to pay forward the support she received when she was struggling and in need.

Beckii knows that food is connecting. It is nurturing, and it is most certainly nourishing when organic. She hopes this gift of fresh organics will enable the recipients to feel empowered, loved and supported in their time of need.

Ray was raised in the Far North of New Zealand, where he lived in a two bedroom Bach on a beach with his family of 10 with no running water or electricity. He knows what it’s like to have to be resourceful with very little and make do with what is available.

Since coming to Australia in 2008 (when he met Beckii) he has learnt to appreciate the vast variety of foods available, and was at first was lured into processed foods and convenience.

After gaining weight and feeling really lethargic from these unknown foods – Ray has now returned to his organic roots realising that health and wellness starts from the inside out. Ray has never felt better in his energy and fitness levels, and would love nothing more than to make premium organic food accessible to all children (and adults) in Melbourne.

He hopes that this gift of fresh organics will help the recipients gain a boost of health and vitality, and help them to regain the energy to get through their challenging situation.
